Tank Size: 100 Gallon (72” X 18” X 18”)
Duration of set-up: 3 years as of May 2003
Plants: Various Crypts and Anubias, Marsilea, Java Fern and one Red Lotus
Fish: 5 Rainbowfish, 8 SAEs, and some Amano Shrimp
Other Decorations:
Lighting: 120 Watts of T8 and Power Compact bulbs, 6800K
Filtration: Powerhead used to circulate the water
co2: DIY coke bottle and an airstone
Heating: None
Substrate: Diamond Pro Baseball Infield conditioner (like Turface) and some soil
Chemicals: Add KNO3 when necessary to maintain a 5-10 ppm level of NO3
PH: 7.4-7.6
GH: 22-24
KH: 15-17
Nitrate: 5-10ppm
Iron: Added from tap water

Current Plans:

To keep a simple, low maintenance planted aquarium. I change 25 percent of the water weekly as my only tank maintenance.  There is no filtration maintenance. Slower growing plants keep the design stable.
